Cultivating Zen Practice Communities

Facilitators’ Retreat

As a practitioner in the lineage of Suzuki Roshi in the UK, I feel increasingly called upon to offer practice opportunities to people new to the Buddha way in and around my local community.

Students of Reb Anderson have had the great good fortune to have benefited from his visits to the UK over many years now. However, for many reasons this will not necessarily continue and we are faced with the joyful and challenging question of how to sustain and deepen our practice with each other as well as offering  it to newcomers.

It seems to me there is much we can do together to support and inform both our individual and collective efforts at understanding how to offer the practice and nurture Sangha locally.

To that end, there is a proposed study/practice retreat for those concerned with facilitating or otherwise supporting the development of practice groups in this lineage. Ingen Breen has most kindly offered to help us with this. It is scheduled for the weekend of

29th/30th March 2014 at “The Grange”

Great Cressingham, Norfolk

Friday evening until Sunday afternoon

We can accommodate up to 15 people in spacious shared rooms. It is likely to cost in the region of £120.

There is also opportunity for a day retreat on the preceding Thursday 26th with perhaps a more informal/discussion day on Friday 27th for those who would like to come for longer. Cost to be determined.

Cost: £120 (in the region of)
